(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on April 24, 2024, after a driver approached officers that were at a call for service.
On April 24, 2024, at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers attended a call for service on Pleasant Point Road. While on scene, a motor vehicle approached, and the driver spoke with officers where an odour of alcohol was found to be emitting from the driver. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.
Nikoletta HALASZ, 39-year-old of Lindsay, was charged with:
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80
In addition to the charges the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
