(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple charges against an Ottawa Resident in connection with the theft of a pick-up truck.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on April 24, 2024, Lanark County OPP received information about the pick-up truck which had been taken from a construction company parking lot. The driver of the truck initially evaded police but was later located and arrested by members of the Ottawa OPP Detachment and the OPP’s Emergency Response Team.

Mickey Neal, age 38, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

Theft of a Motor Vehicle
Dangerous Operation
Flight From Peace Officer
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
