(WEST NIPISSING, ON) A driver was charged with impaired driving after police conducted a traffic stop.
On May 7, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Levesque Street, West Nipissing.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Armand BREAULT, 89 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with, operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while impaired alcohol and drugs.
The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 6, 2024, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
