(PERTH, ON) � An Ottawa resident faces new charges after being arrested for failing to appear in court.

The individual was arrested April 26, 2024, by members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on multiple warrants, including one for failing to appear in court.

When officers attempted to conduct the required fingerprinting and photographing of an accused, the individual resisted and refused officers� efforts.

Carl MARSTON, age 33, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

Obstruct a Peace officer
Failure to attend court
The accused remains in custody with an appearance scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 29, 2024.
