(Tay Valley Twp., ON) � The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving after a single vehicle collision.
Lanark officers responded June 17, 2024, shortly after 4:00 a.m. to Highway-7 near Maberly. An eastbound pick-up truck had crossed the road and struck a rock cut.
The driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Testing was conducted while at the hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Keith JAY, age 37, has been charged with operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 29, 2024. The individual�s driver�s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
