More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(NORTH STORMONT, ON) -The Stormont Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three motorists with impaired driving.
On June 16, 2024, shortly after 1:00 a.m., SD&G officers responded to a wrong way vehicle in the eastbound lanes on highway 401 in the South Glengarry Township. Further Investigation led to the driver being arrested.
Joseph, FONGANGTATCHOUOP aged 29, of Cornwall, was charged with:
� Operation while impaired � alcohol
� Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
� Novice driver � B.A.C. above zero
� Drive wrong way � divided highway.
� Dangerous operation
� Class G1 licence holder � unaccompanied by qualified driver
� Class G1 licence holder � drive at unlawful hour
� Class G1 licence holder � drive on prohibited highway
� Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 3, 2024.
On June 16, 2024, shortly after 4:30 a.m., SD&G officers responded to a single vehicle collision on highway 417 in North Glengarry Township.
Claude, KAZIRUKANYO aged 37, of Chateauguay Quebec, was charged with:
� Operation while impaired � alcohol
� Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 3, 2024.
On June 15, 2024, shortly before 4:00 a.m., SD&G officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on highway 138 in South Stormont Township. Further Investigation led to the driver being arrested.
Jessyka RZEZNIK aged 22, of Laval Quebec, was charged with:
� Speeding 1 � 49 Km/h over posted limit
� Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
� Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
On June 14, 2024, shortly after 9:30 p.m., SD&G officers received information from a concerned citizen in regard a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located on Bank Street in the North Dundas township.
Sonya FRANCIS aged 53, of North Dundas was charged with:
� Operation while impaired � alcohol
� Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on July 2, 2024.
