(STONE MILLS TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On August 7, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on County Road 6 in Stone Mills Township. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the driver. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.



No injuries were sustained.

As a result, Jimmy VAN-KLEEF, age 65, of Enterprise was charged with:



Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on September 3, 2024.
