(NORTH BAY, ON) � One driver charged for Impaired Operation.
On August 9, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Highway 11, Callander involving an automobile and a tractor trailer unit.
Through investigation, the highway was closed for a couple of hours. The driver of the automobile who received minor injuries was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.
Amber MOFFAT, 37 years-of-age of North Bay was charged with:
Careless driving
Operation while impaired � alcohol
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver�s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. They are scheduled to appear at the North Bay Ontario Court of Justice on October 22, 2024.
