Drunk Driver With Child In Vehicle Arrested � Name Released

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) � On August 10th at approximately 7:00p.m, members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of an impaired driver at the Gas station in Coboconk with a child on board. The vehicle departed the gas station before officers arrived.

Officers located the vehicle on Kirkfield road. The vehicle was stopped, and Officers entered an impaired investigation.



38-year-old, Erin Nisbett from Lindsay was arrested and charged with

� Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)



� Assault a peace officer

� Driver fail to surrender licence.

Officers ensured the child�s safety.

The accused was served a 90-day driver�s licence suspension, and the involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines. The accused was released from custody with a future court date.
