(DRYDEN, ON) � Members of the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation.

On August 12, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m. members of the Dryden OPP Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Duke Street in the City of Dryden.



As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been impaired by alcohol/drug. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Dryden detachment OPP Detachment for further testing.

Andrew ELOFSON, 34-years-old, of Dryden, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:



� Operation while impaired by blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

� Operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs

� Amber light � fail to stop

� Fail to have insurance card

� Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on September 23, 2024.
