(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) � An individual was charged following an investigation into a mischief incident in Simcoe.



At approximately 3:11 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a mischief incident on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.



It was determined that an individual entered a business, got into a dispute with an employee, and then caused property damage before leaving the area on foot.

Officers later found the suspect at a nearby address and took them into custody without incident.

Charged with following alleged offences is 25-year-old Cameron BATES of Norfolk County:

Causing a disturbance,
Mischief � destroys or damages property.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
