Violent Assaults In Lucknow

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) � South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with three counts of Assault with a Weapon following an incident in the Municipality of Huron-Kinloss (Lucknow) on September 05, 2024.
Just after 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 05, 2024, South Bruce OPP received a report of suspicious persons carrying baseball bats on Havelock Street in the Village of Lucknow. Officers attended the location and observed an altercation occurring between two individuals. One of those individuals brandished an edged weapon and was safely taken into custody.
The police investigation revealed two victims, one of which fled from the scene with minor injuries and the other, who remained on scene.
The accused was processed and charged with the following offences:
Ian SMITH, 39 years of age from no fixed address has been charged with:
� Assault with a Weapon � (three counts).
The accused was processed and held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice � Walkerton on September 06, 2024.
