Fatal Collision Near Aurthur

(WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) � On September 16, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a three vehicle collision involving a transport truck on Wellington Road 109, west of Aurthur. It was reported that a white sedan had collided with a transport truck and that the single occupant was seriously injured.

OPP, Wellington North Fire Service, and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service attend the scene. The driver, a 38-year-old from Kincardine, was transported to a local trauma centre where he was later pronounced deceased.

Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team attended the scene and is assisting with the investigation. The office of the Chief Coroner was notified and attended the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and anyone with information related to it is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.
