(BAYHAM, ON) � The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), St. Thomas Detachment, has charged an individual following a traffic stop.

On September 27, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m., a member of the Elgin OPP stopped a passenger vehicle on Mitchell Road near Heritage Line, Municipality of Bayham receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Tyler BUTLER, a 26-year-old from Oshweken was charged with:

Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
A 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on October 22, 2024.
