(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) � The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a transport truck driver with Dangerous operation.
On September 30, 2024, just after 8:00 p.m., officers received a report of a transport truck and trailer that had entered Highway 401 the wrong direction at Palace Road. Multiple people reported seeing the vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on the north shoulder.
The vehicle was reported to have turned around at the westbound service centre and was located by police driving westbound and stopped by police. The driver was arrested by police.
As a result of the investigation, Balwinder DHALIWAL, age 48, of Brampton was charged with dangerous operation.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on November 19, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
