(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) � The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham Detachment, has charged an individual following a traffic stop.

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 10:25 p.m., a member of the Elgin OPP stopped a passenger vehicle on the westbound Highway 401 near Duart Road, Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service for further testing.



As a result of the investigation, Leif KIYOSHK, a 33-year-old from Wallaceburg was charged with:

Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs
Speeding 1 � 49Km/h over posted limit
A 90-day Administrative Driver�s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on November 25, 2024.
