(HAILEYBURY, ON) � One person charged for possession of brass knuckles during a traffic stop in Haileybury.
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), stopped a vehicle on Rorke Avenue as a result of an Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) hit.
Through further investigation, the driver was arrested and is facing several charges under the Criminal Code of Canada (CC) and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
Bryan WABIE, 47 years-of-age, of Kirkland Lake, was charged with:
Unauthorized possession of weapon
Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited weapon
Possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
Breach of recognizance of bail
Failure to comply with release order
Driving while under suspension
Operate unsafe vehicle
The accused was held into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on November 26, 2024.
