Another Death In Custody

(KINGSTON, ON) � The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad is investigating the death of an inmate at Millhaven Institution, west of Kingston.

An inmate was located, with no vital signs, in his cell on October 29, 2024, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Facility staff and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Correctional Service of Canada has confirmed the inmate was 23-year-old Brody ROBINSON.



The initial investigation has determined that the death was the result of foul play. The Penitentiary Squad, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to this death.
