More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) � Three individuals have been charged following investigations into separate impaired driving incidents.
At approximately 10:56 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Norfolk Street North in Simcoe, Norfolk County. During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety.
As a result, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
50-year-old Michael WILLIAMS of Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offence:
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Around 10:02 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Norfolk County OPP officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a suspected impaired driver on Queensway East in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
Officers located the unoccupied vehicle on West Street in Simcoe and subsequently took the driver into custody without incident at a nearby location. They also confirmed that the vehicle had previously been reported stolen in Norfolk County.
30-year-old Brittany SNIVELY of Niagara Falls, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Operation while impaired � blood drug concentration,
Dangerous operation,
Driving while under suspension,
Possession of a Schedule I substance � other drugs,
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 � in Canada,
Theft of motor vehicle.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Around 12:32 p.m. that same day, Norfolk County OPP officers responding to a single-vehicle collision on Nelson Street West in Port Dover, Norfolk County, where a sedan had struck a road sign and then fled the scene.
Officers later located the vehicle at a different address on Nelson Street West and took the driver into custody without incident.
47-year-old Ryan OLINSKI of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:
Operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
