(MAPLETON TWP, ON) Wellington County OPP received a report of a single vehicle striking a tree, which lead to the arrest of a Wellesley resident.
On November 12, 2024, just before 4:30 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a single vehicle collision, involving the vehicle striking a tree on Eighth line within Mapleton Township.
As a result of the investigation, Nicholas FURLER, a 29-year-old of Wellesley ON, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statue.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Guelph on November 26, 2024.
