(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) � � The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving.
Officers respond to a two-vehicle collision on Highway-7 in Lanark Highlands Township on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, shortly before 7:00 a.m.
Officers investigating the collision arrested one of the drivers and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Samuel MACDONALD, age 38, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Fail to have insurance
Careless driving
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on December 30, 2024.
The individual�s driver�s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
