(ESSEX, ON) � The Essex detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with aggravated assault after altercation.
On November 23, 2024, at 1:21 a.m., members of the Essex OPP, were dispatched to a residence in the community of McGregor in the Town of Essex for a report of an assault.
As a result of the investigation, Benjamin WHALEN, a 35-year-old from Essex, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
� Aggravated Assault
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for their injuries.
