More Impaired Drivers

(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) � The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals with impaired driving related charges in one night.
On November 30, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to multiple traffic complaints of a possible impaired driver in the area of River Road West in Wasaga Beach. Officers located the vehicle on Fernbrook Drive and conducted a traffic stop. After noticing an odour of alcohol, officers administered a roadside Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) on the driver. As a result, Armin BALOG, 29-year-old of North York, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
� Adult Operation while Impaired � Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
� Adult Operation while Impaired � Alcohol and Drugs
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
On December 1, 2024, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Bayfield Street in Barrie. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and engaged in an impaired operation investigation. Officers administered a roadside Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) on the driver. As a result, Alberto CARRION ALVAREZ, 31-year-old of Barrie, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
� Adult Operation while Impaired � Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
� Adult Operation while Impaired � Alcohol and Drugs
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
