Increased Police Presence Near Chepstow

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) � South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region OPP K-9, and OPP Aviation Unit responded to an incident in the Municipality of Brockton in Greenock Township just after 2:00 p.m. on January 11th, 2025.

On Saturday, January 11th, 2025, South Bruce OPP responded to an incident on Schmidt Lake Road in Greenock Twp, north of Chepstow.


Officers interacted with an individual and have now taken that same individual safely into custody. Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area mentioned above, however, there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is continuing, and more details will be released at the appropriate time.
