(Bradford, ON) � On Sunday, January 19, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the area of Holland Street in Bradford West Gwillimbury. Through the investigation, South Simcoe Police officers determined that a male suspect attended the store and produced a black folding knife. The male threatened the store employee and made a demand for money. The employee refused and the suspect eventually fled the store with stolen goods. The store employee was not harmed and did not report any injuries. South Simcoe Police officers along with canine located the suspect a short distance away. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old-male from Bradford West Gwillimbury was arrested and charged with:

Robbery
Fail to Comply with Undertaking
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Carry Concealed Weapon
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Disguise with Intent
The accused was held for bail hearing.

SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE ARREST AND CHARGE A MALE DRIVER FROM CAMBRIDGE WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(Innisfil, ON) � On January 19, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on the 6th Line in the Town of Innisfil. Police arrived on scene and observed a male walking into the ditch towards the vehicle. As part of the investigation, South Simcoe Police officers spoke with the male and determined he was the driver of the vehicle. After further investigation, two breath samples were provided, indicating he had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. As a result, a 25-year-old-male from Cambridge, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

Operation while impaired
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (over 80)
The accused was released with a future court date.
