Kyler ACKEWANCE Was Arrested

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) � Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Sioux Lookout have arrested and charged one individual with firearm and drug offences.

On February 6th, 2025, shortly after 1:00 p.m., members of the Sioux Lookout conducted a traffic stop on Drayton Road. The driver was placed under arrest and during a search incident to arrest, officers located suspected cocaine, and suspected crack cocaine on the individual. Police further located a firearm and ammunition inside of the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Kyler ACKEWANCE, 32 years old of Hudson, Ontario, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

� Unauthorized possession of a firearm

� Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm

� Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm

� Possession of a Schedule I Substance � Cocaine

The accused was released on a Form 10 Undertaking, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout on the 4th of March, 2025.
