(Guelph-Eramosa Township, ON) � The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Guelph resident criminally stemming from a three-vehicle collision.

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 30 and Wellington Road 86 in the Township of Guelph-Eramosa.

As a result of the investigation, Rene CHABOT, a 36-year-old of Guelph is charged under the Criminal Code with:

Operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.

A 90-day Administrative Driver�s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice � Guelph on February 25, 2025.
