Incest: 30 Year Old Arrested

(CARLETON PLACE, ON)- The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with sexual offences.

Officers began an investigation in September of 2023, regarding allegations of sexual assault involving a child. As the result of further information, the investigation continued and a 30-year-old Carleton Place man was arrested on February 18, 2025, and charged with:

� Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age

� Incest

The male was held for bail and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 18, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
