Vehicle Used In Goderich YMCA Smash & Grab

(GODERICH, ON) � Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual from Huron County following a break and enter to the Goderich Y.M.C.A. on March 10th, 2025.



At 12:20 a.m. on March 10th, 2025, an individual used a small car to ram the front doors of the YMCA building located on Suncoast Drive East in Goderich. The driver made repeated attempts and eventually broke the doors open to gain entry to the building. Once inside, the suspect attempted to enter several areas of the facility then departed in the same vehicle. The suspect was identified by police and was arrested later that same morning.



The accused has been charged as follows:



Philip REED, 59 years of age from No Fixed Address has been charged with:

� Break and Enter,

� Mischief Under $5,000,

� Dangerous Operation,

� Fail to Stop After Accident.

The accused was processed and later released with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice � Goderich on April 14th, 2025.
