(DUFFERIN COUNTY) � Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Caledon resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic stop.
On March 17, 2025, just after 10:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 10 near the Town of Orangeville. Officers noted a vehicle without a valid licence plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop and after a brief conversation, the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.
Alejandro DE SOUSA, a 23-year-old male, from Caledon has been charged with:
� Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
� Operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs
� Driving while under suspension
� Possess unmarked cigarettes
� Fail to surrender insurance card
� Improper number plate light
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver�s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
