(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) � The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving related charges after an officer was alerted by the ALPR.
On April 6, 2025, at approximately 10:24 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement southbound on Horseshoe Valley Road in Springwater Township. Officers were alerted by the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system which prompted further investigation by the officer resulting in a traffic stop. After a brief discussion with the driver, the officer conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result, Yaman AL-JUNDI, 31-year-old of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
� Adult Operation while Impaired � Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
The male was additionally charged under the with:
� Drive Motor Vehicle, No Current Validated Permit
� Novice Driver � B.A.C. Above Zero
� Possesses More Than One Licence
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
