(MUNICIPALITY OF BRIGHTON, ON) � The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a road rage incident involving mischief.
On June 17, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a dispute between two drivers on County Road 30. Both vehicles had pulled off the roadway, and one individual was reported to have caused damage to the other�s vehicle.
Police attended the scene and took one of the individuals into custody. Further investigation revealed that the accused was suspended from driving.
As a result, James WAITE (50), of Codrington, has been charged with:
Mischief under $5,000
Driving while under suspension
In addition to a future court appearance, the accused�s vehicle was impounded for seven days.
