Collision On 86 Sends 5 To Hospital

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) � The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with local emergency services attended the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 86, just outside of Ariss.
On July 1, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a serious head-on collision involving two motor vehicles, resulting in Wellington Road 86 being closed between Eighth Line East and Sideroad 16, within Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the collision, five individuals were transported to hospital, including a 16-year-old passenger who sustained life-altering injuries; All drivers and passengers involved suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Wellington Road 86 will remain closed between Eighth Line East and Sideroad 16, pending the current investigation. Reopening is currently unknown at this time.
The investigation is still ongoing. Information will be provided when available.
