Body Of Missing Boater Recovered

(KINGSTON, ON) � The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in coordination with the Canadian Coast Guard and Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), has recovered the body of a missing boater following an incident near Milton Island on the St. Lawrence River.

On Monday June 30, 2025, members of the Frontenac OPP and the OPP Marine Unit responded to a report of a male who had fallen off a boat, struck his head on the propellor, and failed to resurface.

Search efforts were conducted over the following two days and on Wednesday July 2, 2025, the body of a 58 year-old male from Toronto was recovered near the location where the incident occurred.



The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.
