(NORTH HURON, ON) � Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh (ACW Twp) resident with several offences following a traffic stop on July 12th, 2025, in the Township of North Huron.
Just before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, Huron County OPP officers spoke to a vehicle driver after they were stopped for a traffic violation on Amberley Road in North Huron. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the North Perth OPP detachment in Listowel where they underwent testing with an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer.
Gerrit LOGTENBERG, 28 years of age from ACW Twp., has been charged with:
� Impaired Operation � Alcohol and Drugs.
The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Cannabis Control Act and Highway Traffic Act.
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused� driver�s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice � Goderich.
