More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) � The Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged three drivers with a total of 8 impaired-related offences in August.
On Sunday August 10, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., members of the Kirkland Lake OPP were conducting general patrol on Highway 66 in Gauthier Township, when a traffic stop was conducted for speed related offences. Officers determined the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages and the driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result, Philippe AUBERT, a 56-year-old of Terrebonne, Quebec was charged with operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on September 4, 2025.
On Tuesday August 12, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP received a complaint of a pickup truck crashing into garbage cans causing damage to a house and fence on Federal Street, Kirkland Lake. The vehicle initially failed to stop to emergency lights, a short time later a traffic stop was conducted on Goodfish Road. Officers determined the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages and the driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result, Bradley HEBERT, a 25-year-old of Azilda was charged with:
� Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
� Operation while impaired � alcohol
� Dangerous operation
� Failure to stop after accident
� Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
� Disobey stop sign � fail to stop
The accused was issued a 90-day ADLS and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on September 18, 2025.
On Wednesday August 13, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a parked vehicle on Seventh Avenue, in Larder Lake. Police located the driver and determined that the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result, Lynne CORMIER a 32-year-old of Matachewan was charged with operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused was issued a 90-day ADLS and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on September 18, 2025.
