(BECKWITH TWP, ON) � � The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.
Officers investigated a single vehicle collision on Derry Side Road, in Beckwith Township on Friday, September 5, 2025, just after 1:15 a.m. after a crash notification was received.
The officers located the vehicle in a ditch, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Hilary CLOSE, 57-years-old, has been charged with operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 20, 2025.
The individual�s driver�s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver�s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days
