(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) � Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving related charges on the first day of school.
On Wednesday September 3, 2025, just after 7:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a traffic complaint involving a possible impaired driver that almost struck a school bus on County Road 2 in Tyendinaga Township. A second citizen reported that the vehicle entered the ditch striking a mailbox before continuing eastbound. The vehicle was located by police in Napanee, and the driver was arrested.
Charity-Jo MURPHY, a 48-year-old from Kingston, has been charged with:

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on September 23, 2025. Their driver�s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.
