(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) � Three individuals have been arrested following a suspected drug trafficking investigation in Mount Forest.

On October 23, 2025, at approximately 6:00a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), supported by the Grey Bruce OPP CSCU, Huron-Perth OPP CSCU, Lambton OPP CSCU, and the Wellington County OPP Community Response Unit, executed search warrants at locations on King, Queen and Foster Streets in Mount Forest, as part of an ongoing suspected drug trafficking investigation.



The search resulted in the seizure of various weapons and ammunition, suspected cocaine, suspected MDMA, suspected Fentanyl, Canadian Currency, cellular telephones, various drug-related paraphernalia and stolen dirt bikes.

Total value of items and cash seized is estimated to be over $13,000.

As a result of the investigation, Benjamin KNOWLES, a 42-year-old from Mount Forest, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � Cocaine
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � Other Drugs
Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
Operation while prohibited
Operation while prohibited � Legal restriction from any other Act of Parliament or Provincial Law (two counts)
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice � Guelph on November 25, 2025.

Additionally, Amy CAPELL, a 40-year-old from Mount Forest, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � Cocaine
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � other drugs
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice � Guelph on November 25, 2025.

Lastly, Jesse CHARETTE, a 36-year-old from Mount Forest, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � Cocaine
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking � other drugs
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice � Guelph on November 25, 2025.
