(BANCROFT, ON) � An individual from western Ontario is facing drug trafficking charges after a significant drug seizure in in Bancroft.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, shortly before 2:00 p.m., officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Mill Street.
During the interaction, officers observed items typically associated with drug use. The driver was arrested and a subsequent search of the pick-up truck located more than 130 grams of suspected fentanyl, nearly 90 grams of suspected methamphetamine, nearly 15 grams of suspected crack cocaine, along with several pills suspected to be diazepam and oxycodone. Christopher HULSMANS, age 43 of London has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking � three counts
Possession of a Schedule 2 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking � two counts
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Personation with intent (identity fraud)
Possession of an identity document
Failing to comply with an undertaking � six counts
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Monday, November 10, 2025.
