The Corporation of North Huron is reviewing changes to garbage and recycling pickup, including potential reductions. Details remain unclear, prompting calls for residents to contact their council representatives immediately or attend the in-person council meeting Monday, with doors opening around 5:30 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. start.
Community frustration has intensified alongside serious allegations circulating publicly involving municipal leadership and enforcement practices. Reeve Paul Heffer is facing allegations that include child endangerment and breach of trust. Separately, bylaw enforcement has been accused by members of the public of dereliction of duty, trespass, harassment, and conspiracy to extort or steal.
