(QUINTE WEST, ON) � The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid impaired driving charges following an incident in the city.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle parked in an intersection. The driver was arrested and brought to the detachment for testing.
Matthew SAUNDERS, age 41, from Quinte West, was charged with operation while impaired by drug.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 18, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.
