(WASAGA BEACH, ON) � Officers from the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Springwater resident with impaired operation and drug trafficking offences following a traffic stop.
On November 28, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., an officer on general patrol stopped a vehicle travelling on Mosley Street and entered into an impaired driving investigation. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver�s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs and she was subsequently arrested.
As a result of the arrest, the following items were seized:
Quantity of crack cocaine
Quantity of cash
Items consistent with drug trafficking
Alexandra HERRON, from Springwater Township was charged with:
Operation while impaired � drugs
Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on January 20, 2026, to answer to the charges. The driver�s licence was also suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
