(BRANT, ON) � On December 1, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on 403 Highway East at King George Road in Brant County, Ontario.
During the police investigation no injuries were reported and a Thomas STOOP, 27-year-old male of Mount Elgin Ontario, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:
Operation While Impaired � Alcohol and Drugs
Operation While Impaired � Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on December 19, 2025. Mr. Stoop had his drivers licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The OPP continues to prioritize road safety through proactive enforcement and public education. Impaired driving-whether by alcohol or drugs-remains one of the leading causes of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roadways.
