Harold Tyson ST-DENIS Facing Numerous Charges

(ALGONQUINS OF PIKWAKANAGAN FIRST NATION, ON) � One person is facing Criminal Code (CC) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) charges after members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop involving an ATV at the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (AOPFN).
On the afternoon of January 5, 2026, UOV OPP patrol officers observed an ATV on AOPFN being driven erratically and disobeying stop signs. A traffic stop was conducted on Kokomis Road and as part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized.
As a result of this incident 49-year-old Harold Tyson ST-DENIS, a resident of AOPFN, was charged with the following CC and HTA offences:
� Failure or refusal to comply with demand
� Drive motor vehicle � perform stunt
� No driver�s licence
� Driving while under suspension
� Fail to drive on shoulder
� Disobey stop sign � two counts
The accused had their driver�s licence suspended for 90 days and their ATV was towed and impounded for 14 days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 10, 2026.
