(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) � Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a Laurentian Valley Township (LVTP) resident with impaired driving offences after a recent investigation.

In the early morning hours of January 11, 2026, police received a report of a possible impaired driver in Pembroke. Police located the vehicle and driver in LVTP and began an investigation. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of this incident Ashley WARD, age 41, is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

Operation while impaired � alcohol
Operation while impaired � blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
The accused had their driver�s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 10, 2026.
