(PEMBROKE, ON) � Two people face charges after a significant drug seizure in Pembroke.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) stopped a vehicle on Alfred Street after the driver was identified as being prohibited from driving.
The driver was arrested and a search resulted in the seizure of more than 184 grams of suspected cocaine, nearly 22 grams of suspected crack cocaine, over 61 grams of suspected fentanyl, nearly 180 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, nearly 81 grams of suspected MDMA, as well as quantities of hydromorphone pills and morphine.
The passenger was also arrested after the drugs were seized.
Kyle PEPLINSKIE, age 39 of Ottawa has been charged with:
Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking � six counts
Possession of Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Operation while impaired � alcohol or drugs
Refusing to provide a breath sample
Driving while under suspension
Caitlyn DENNIS, age 31 of Chapeau, Quebec has been charged with:
Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking � six counts
Possession of Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Failing to comply with a probation order
Both of the accused individuals were held in custody and were scheduled to appear for bail hearings before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
