Fatal Collision North Of Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) � Members of the Huron County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision on Base Line in The Municipality of Central Huron, just north of the Town of Clinton.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a van on Base Line between Lobb Road and Dutch Line.
As a result of the collision, all four occupants of the van were transported to hospital. One occupant, a 38-year-old female from Exeter, was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the van remains in hospital with serious injuries. The two remaining occupants sustained minor injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist. Base Line was closed for several hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene, but it has since reopened.
