(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) � One person remains in custody following incident in Arthur.
On February 5, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside the West Region Emergency Response Team and the West Region Canine Unit, received a report of an altercation that occurred two days prior on January 3, 2026, at an address on Tucker Street in Arthur.
As a result of the investigation, Jake O�SHAUGHNESSY, a 31-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
Robbery with a weapon
Assault with a weapon
Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Break and enter house � commit indictable offence
Assault
Uttering threats � cause death or bodily harm
Failure to comply with release order � other than attend court
Breach of Recognizance
One victim sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries.
The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
