(SUDBURY, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after investigating a traffic complaint.
On Monday February 16, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, responded to a driver passed out in a parked vehicle in a live lane on Highway 144, near Onaping Falls, Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, Brent DAY, 33 years-of-age, from Dowling, was charged with, operation while impaired drugs and use plate not authorized for vehicle
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 11, 2026, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
